About Benjamin Byun

Ben is an associate in the firm's Trusts and Estates Group. He focuses his practice in estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, and elder law. Prior to joining Mirick O’Connell, Ben was an associate at a trusts and estates boutique firm in the greater Boston area. Ben assists clients with the preparation of wills, trusts, health care proxies, durable powers of attorney, and MassHealth applications. He works with individuals and families to protect assets, reduce estate taxes, and efficiently carry out their testamentary intentions. He also advises personal representatives, trustees and other fiduciaries on the legal aspects of administering complex estates and trusts including contested probates, preparation of estate tax returns, and post-mortem tax planning. Ben is a presenter for the National Business Institute, providing continuing education credit for CPAs, financial planners, and attorneys on the probate process, the preparation of estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns, and estate accounting.
